We aim to make children feel safe, seen, soothed, and secure through tailored 1:1 mentoring, school courses, workshops, and after-school groups designed to meet the needs of children.
Where Connection Counts
At Cherished we are dedicated to supporting children to feel safe, seen, soothed & secure through attachment-focused and trauma-responsive support. Our compassionate courses and community connections build a sense of belonging.
School services
As a school, you can refer a child or groups of children to receive our range of services. We offer 1:1 mentoring, courses and bespoke workshops throughout the academic year.
Parent services
As a parent you can refer your child to receive 1:1 mentoring in school or at our Cherished Hub. Our Blossom and Roar groups offer an after-school community for children to make friends and grow in confidence.
Our Beliefs for Supporting Children as A Trauma-Informed Organisation
Behaviour is communication
We view behaviour as a meaningful message and a reflection of a child’s inner world, not something to be corrected but to be understood.
Be curious not furious
Rather than reacting to challenging behaviours, we believe that all behaviour should be approached with curiosity. By seeking to understand the underlying reasons, we open the door to connection and empathy.
The root not the fruit
Our focus is on addressing the deeper wounds that drive trauma-related behaviours, rather than simply managing what’s visible on the surface. We aim to connect from within.

The Heart of Cherished: Supporting Children To Feel Safe, Seen, Soothed & Secure.
At Cherished, our 4S framework; Safe, Seen, Soothed & Secure, is the foundation of everything we do. This approach ensures that every child we support feels valued, understood and heard.
Safe
Providing accepting, confidential spaces for children to build positive attachments and explore their emotions and behaviours.
Seen
Giving children dedicated time and attention, opportunities to use their voice and realise their true worth. We focus on fostering genuine connections to help them feel truly acknowledged and understood.
Soothed
Using tailored techniques to equip children with the knowledge and tools to manage their emotions. We emphasise the importance of understanding and regulating emotions to promote emotional wellbeing.
Secure
To nurture and develop the true potential of every child, building their confidence and establishing security in their identity. We help children recognise and build on their strengths, fostering a strong sense of self.
